Motor homes towing boats are very common and its legal to tow a boat behind a camper if its a 5th wheel unit-- as long as your tow vehicle is rated for it. .

The major campgrounds around here are booked up a year in advance on weekends if they are on a nice lake. We also have 2 Federal campgrounds that are usually booked solid a year in advance for the months of June, July and Aug.

About the same here. RV spots will be booked up. Usually all you can get at the last minute is a spot to pitch a tent. Which can be good if you are car camping and decide to stop.
