I just asked one of the UPS drivers on my route where his helper was. He said, I hope I don’t get one.

I didn't want a helper either. Very little use on my route even if I got lucky and had the rare good helper.
They would end up jacking up my stop count and make me take one anyway. Just meant I finished later or ended up bringing stops back. But their computer said I was supposed to be able to deliver all of those extra stops. And its never wrong.
