you can throw sulfur on the ground around them. Makes the soil plenty good for 'em. At least down here.

I havent done anything to these flowers. They just started popping out last week. We had a pretty rough winter here. Most everything in my flowerbeds died off.

Have you had the soil tested? Dig up some samples from where you want to grow them and have it tested. You need to know the pH.

You can add ground sulfur or ferrous sulfate, to increase the acidity. How much of each? All depends on the starting number of pH. That, and lots of organic material.
