Operational needs

Virescit Vulnere Virtus
Here’s my issue... my sister gave me a TV a few years ago, a 42in Sony Bravia. I’m finally trying to hook it up and it has no power. No lights come on. When I went to change batteries in remote I noticed that one had corroded at one end. Any ideas on what I need to do next?

Call the tv repairman and bang him like in the movies?

Does the power button on the TV work? Or did you just try the remote?
