Here’s my issue... my sister gave me a TV a few years ago, a 42in Sony Bravia. I’m finally trying to hook it up and it has no power. No lights come on. When I went to change batteries in remote I noticed that one had corroded at one end. Any ideas on what I need to do next?
Stand up, go to TV, hit power button. waalaa, moving pictures. Then go to store, buy a cheap universal remote, program it to tv, sit down.

Other than scraping the corrosion off, which can be a pain, not really worth it.

Might even be able to program her phone to use as a remote.
