Out in the country they might get one pass with the county road maintainer with a snowplow attached But it could take a day or two or more to get to your road Maybe more if you had :censored2: him off at some time or another
Here the country roads are kept pretty clear. Unless its a very heavy snow or have bad drifting. County or township does those roads. Nothing like the mess in the city.

Locals put up with unplowed streets?

Around here the county and the townships are obligated to have the roads plowed within 72 hours of a snow storm. Usually its way less than that but I have seen instances where we had a major snow storm and the city streets weren't all plowed for a week. The State does an excellent job keeping up with the snow but IF its a major blizzard they will pull the plows off and shut down the highways.
