I briefly saw the story. I think it happened in Montana, about 5-6 hours west of me. But the hail around these parts is monstrous. When it's falling at speeds upwards of 120 mph and contacts something, it does damage. I had a window blow out on my package car once due to being caught in a storm while driving.

Yea, tulip poplars. I'm always fighting them popping up all over like weeds. They clog up the gutters too like mad with their pollen and flowers.
