I got a red light ticket from MD once. $52 and a nice picture of my car.

The governor of Texas has outlawed red light cameras in the state. However several small towns around me still have them due to contractual obligations. They still send them to you in the mail and also threaten you by saying you won't be able to get new vehicle registrations if you don't pay. They lie.

Houston only has 1 tollway that actually has booths, and you're correct, Dallas is all automated. Luckily, my EZ tag works in both Houston and Dallas.

I think those EZ Tags work nation wide.

They got rid of them in CA also I believe. They caused some many problems.

I've been around. My computer crashed and burned. My son took it and tried to recover all the stuff off the hard drive, but I ended up just getting a new computer. It was a long 2 weeks.

There were a few instances of vandalism, yes, including people in big 4x4's running over the camera, pole and all.
