Sandwich cooked inside a cast iron case stuck in an open fire. Usually with ham or pepperoni with sauce and some kind of cheese. If you make them right the edges will be crimped and it will cook into a self-contained pocket.

Oh yeah we used make those for dessert when camping put canned cherry pie filling in them then heated them up

You need the irons with the crimping going around them to get the sealed pocket. I don't know why they even make them without it.

We always just threw an old grate over the fire and a cast iron skillet and made them that way.
