Anyone or any one
Anyone is a pronoun that indicates any person. It is used when there are no qualifications to the grouping. Something could belong to anyone if there are no distinguishing marks or unique factors.

Any one is a term that means any single object or person. It is generally not listed in dictionaries except perhaps to distinguish the differences with anyone.

The technology has been around for several years.

I think it's less intrusive than surveillance cameras on every block.

They have had similar systems for a while. Just getting more common and more accurate. Not really more invasive than them looking at pictures from every surveillance camera in the area whenever anything happens.

That actually is very similar to the technology they use to track lightning strikes. Could probably use them for both.
