Are those questions asked for their interests or in protecting your own?
In all honesty they come from curiosity. The article references the large size of the California economy and I wonder what that economy would look like standing on it's own.

As too your original questions:

So California wants to pay for it's own defense, it's own infrastructure and own social programs? Aren't they already in debt?


maybe looking at countries like France and Brazil might offer some clarity to the issue.

Same place I get it now. Why is where I get my water from relevant to California and its political choices?
Because, if you lived in CA, under a successful Calexit, you would have to negotiate with another country, the USA, for your water. That's where a lot of it comes from. If you live elsewhere, yea, no change.

Silicon Valley, LA and $50 billion in ag products not including weed. I think we would be ok.
