Call tag attempts without the call tags?

Can't you just pretend to pick up a package. It should work both ways. Yes I picked that up with no tag and put the invisible tag on the invisible box. Done deal.

I would never do it

u don't know what you're picking up

u have nothing to give to the customer

the odds of the center connecting the missing call tag to the mystery pkg. are just about nil

It used to be small enough here to do that , but not anymore, to many new part timers who just don't care anyway.

crappy AM OMS is to blame

the really annoying bit is when you have the physical call tags but they aren't in EDD so you don't even realize until you probably are back at the building

We've had the same issue this week. If I pick up the package I scan an info notice and give that to the customer as a receipt and I write the tracking number on the box and have an OMS print the tag when I get in. If not home, I'm forced to sheet as NI.

No receipt to provide customer = no attempt made until it's in hand.

Twice in a week now we’ve been instructed to attempt all call tag pick ups without the call tags. For one reason or another they were not provided before leaving the center. Is this an issue anywhere else? What attempt is? How do you attempt an rs1 tag without the tag? “Hi I’m here to pick up a package, I have no idea what it is, do you have it?” WTH!!
Pick it up. The 1Z is in the diad so what's the big deal. Leave a message with the center to print out the tag. If the center fails to do that you dump the package in the office. (always leave a note that office staff failed) If NI-1, sheet as exactly that. You can't leave what you don't have.

If you are a split driver, forget the above information. Just flag the stop as you normally would do. What split driver does calls anyway?

You know how drivers are expected to be perfect all the time, this doesn't apply to people in management. The dispatcher can't even get the tags with the correct driver on those rare days they do get them printed out. Connect the dots isn't something they can handle. They don't even release EDD/orion until we are out sitting in the parking lot, by then its too late to do anything about it.
But yet drivers can't ever forget to give a NI3 to the clerk or you will be harassed and your job threatened.

Two options are "Not Found" or pick up the package and have evening OMS print out a new tag. You could write the tracking number on an Infonotice and leave that with the customer as a receipt.
You can also scan the info notice and give to customer. Tracking numbers are too long to write down. I attempt every call tag regardless if I have it or not. Most people know if they are returning something. Some are clueless

I’m glad you mentioned downloading EDD. They want us to go to our first Orion stop but how can we do that when EDD is uploading while we are driving to our delivery areas?

I do not leave the building until Edd is finished uploading.

Are you aware that once you hit Big Arrow Up that it will upload whether you are sitting there or driving to your area.

To be fair, both our PDS and on car, as well as most of the drivers, had no idea that EDD will upload while you are driving to your first stop.

Do you have committed air that you are trying to get delivered on time?

I know it can upload while driving. I just like to make sure it's done before I leave.
