Call tag attempts without the call tags?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't UPS in business to make money? I seriously doubt the shareholders would tolerate doing anything that doesn't make at least some profit. Their making something doing residential and not just for the U.S. population. Come on man seriously?

Sure so all those new hires can piss on us retirees down the road voting on new contracts seeing as we piss on them now. SMH.

you don't get it dude i'm sorry i don't know how else to break it down to you, but that's just not how it works

also why would new hires piss on retirees and what does that have to do with their pay? what are you even talking about

So all the tracking capabilities of yesterday were better than today?

no dude you have it backwards; the volume was easier to predict because it was coming from brick & mortar, and those trends are steady and repetitive, thus easier to average and build trends off

online shoppers don't have trends that close, so the averages are worse; even more so if you try to use fancy-math to think ahead of the curve

The contract can affect retirees why wouldn't it? New hire votes for hire wage instead of more pension contributions? So the IE predictions everyday are way off compared to 20 years ago? Say it isn't so! Keep drinking the Kool-Aid pal.

So all the tracking capabilities of yesterday were better than today? Because I've been in the dispatch office at 1 a.m. watching the dispatch sup setting up cars for the day already with a pretty good idea about spc. I guess those little clickers to count stops by the preloader were top notch in the day.

yeah sure by midnight on the day-of visibility is perfect (kinda), most PDS could do the same, but the plans are made a month in advance and tweaked at least 2 weeks out

further, the preload doesn't have the same flexibility the PDS does in reacting to fluctuating volume

Still FAR better than a PT sup walking a belt every 30 minutes taking stop counts from a clicker on the back of a P/C. Were you even born when we did that?

Our PDS is also our Preload Manager.

Current FT drivers should be grandfathered in but new FT hires should start at a lower rate, have a longer progression with a lower top out.
You cannot be serious?

UPS needs to pay for their horrible Decisions the last 3 years.

I am so glad I am retired.

Current drivers are being screwed and thr Union is incredibly weak because so many like you @UpstateNYUPSer infect the union.
I hope the Union Strikes so I can walk the picket line and tell management how I feel without fear of retaliation.

I choose to not attempt call tags unless I was given the tag. If I can’t trust them to print the tag in the AM, then why would I trust them to do it in the PM? Once I scan it as picked up, I am taking responsibility for it. I’m not allowed to print the labels. And I’ve had boxes that the OMS told me “I’ll take care of it” sit in the office for days.

We have been told to treat call tags as if they are packages.

If I pull up to a stop and do not have the "packages" it is marked not found.
