Stories? Really? Where nothing ever since has happened? At least in recordable history. If it happened then(fantastical super-natural occurrences) it would be happening now. A simple earthquake and volcano would seem like "God" destroying man....but to a relative scientific simpleton......lot of that.

The matrix is a Hollywood version of the simulation hypothesis (it’s a scientific theory have you heard of it?)
The Bible has a plethora of historical data (not sure where you want me to start) for instance the flood: multiple cultures have this same story. The Derinkuyu tunnels are an example of physical evidence left over for a catastrophe of that scale.

I agree with some of this because the wachowskis are trans so that is clearly a factor in some of their writing but the story and idea can’t be bound to a gender metaphor. It’s about simulation hypothesis.

Millions have been slaughtered in the name of religion.........kinda loses me there and and of course the super-natural stuff.......oh and sitting in a wooden pew smelling a musty old hymnal. Always enjoyed the stale crackers and grape juice....my blessed respite from the droning on. Sure glad when there was a noon kickoff for the football game on Sunday.....we got to leave early.
BTW, there weren't any tunnels around our house....

Well, I could see that....you are in a impossible situation. You have a deeply, impossible situation you cannot extricate yourself from, your entire being depends on proving the Bible is true, along with all the other stuff. You can't, so you insult me(calling me an idiot and simpleton or a contrarian). This deflection and name calling is a tried and true method of promoting an unprovable argument based on emotion. It's been going on like this for 2,000 years. MOF, millions have been killed in the name of religion...but I digress. All the while proving nothing.

its been good for me
i went from a nihilistic passive consumer to actually doing something by donating, protesting, bumper stickers, fashion, videos, voting.
ive also seen religion being practiced in a bad way at the local church. im suprised people arent smart enough to figure it out, i guess its a lack of a certain kind of intelligence. even my friend who is above average for intelligence - his parents go :S
