He automatically equates being rich as greedy.
if they have millions or billions, isnt that greed
why not donate it to the poor.
He automatically equates being rich as greedy.
Did you miss the part Jesus describes it? I posted it twice. It becomes greed (biblically speaking) when your love of money overtakes your love of Goddoesnt it depend on how they got their riches and when does it become greed?
send me a link to the quoteJesus Himself says it best:
No wonder Jesus explicitly warns us that we cannot love and serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24). But there is nothing wrong with being rich. The rich are no less holy than others. One can be rich and still love God more than he loves or trusts money.
thats kinda silly to think people can hoard way more money than they need and still be christian.Did you miss the part Jesus describes it? I posted it twice. It becomes greed (biblically speaking) when your love of money overtakes your love of God
did you want a Webster dictionary definition or biblical explanation? I answered the one you use when you're trying to be religiousView attachment 516324

Have you considered that having wealth may be because one has been blessed by God? It's not having the wealth that's evil, it's what one does with it. If I had say ten billion dollars I would put it into interest bearing CD's and use the interest plus some of the principal to do good things with. I'd help my family, set up scholarships for poor kids, provide homes, pay utility bills. Maybe keep $100k a year for myself to live on. But it's my money, my responsibility. I won't just give it all away and not know how it's being spent. I'd manage it myself, making sure that I and my family are taken care of. Does that make me greedy?were talking about people who twist religion
how do you know having billions or millions isnt greedy according to the bibles standards?
That's it right there. You can't worship two masters. If you worship money more than God then that is wrong. It IS possible to walk your walk with Christ and be blessed with riches. It happens a lot. You simply don't want to believe it's possible to do both. They don't have to do with their money what you demand. Maybe Christ has another path in their uses of their wealthsend me a link to the quote

And biblical teaching nowhere says that if you are wealthy then you are inherently greedy. You worship your ministers instead of Christ so you will believe anything they tell youno having wealth is not because you are blessed by god. thats a twisting of religion from what ive heard anyways.
yea i think if you keep 10 billion youre greedy.
minister chris hedges at least says its about justice and confronting the power elite. william barber says the same. And biblical teaching nowhere says that if you are wealthy then you are inherently greedy. You worship your ministers instead of Christ so you will believe anything they tell you
so sayeth rickyb. That doesn't make you right. And don't believe that you are going to gain any support using the bible and Jesus as your proofi dont think you can have millions or more and not be greedy.
No matter that I do good with the ten billion? And God does bless people with wealth and prosperity. If you notice those who've created wealth weren't just given it. They worked hard for it. Used their God given gifts.no having wealth is not because you are blessed by god. thats a twisting of religion from what ive heard anyways.

Then talk to Ralph Nader and your other gurus. They're millionaires.i dont think you can have millions or more and not be greedy.
You think that would change anyone's mind on here? Like I said, you worship those men when your focus should be on Christ if you're wanting to use an argument from Christianity viewminister chris hedges at least says its about justice and confronting the power elite. william barber says the same.
i think its time i find some quotes from them on this subject.
its interesting how you both give a pass to the biggest satanic evil on earth which is corporations and govts. You think that would change anyone's mind on here? Like I said, you worship those men when your focus should be on Christ if you're wanting to use an argument from Christianity view
its okay to have a few i think but i think 10 million is too much probably even less would be considered anti christian greed. Then talk to Ralph Nader and your other gurus. They're millionaires.
I don't give a pass to anyone. I go by a case by case basis. I don't automatically think that every single person that has wealth is greedy. You do. I agree anything can be co opted so I put my faith in Christ and not religion. I stay away from advice from non Christians trying to tell me what the Christian thing would be. Your motives on here is to promote your self interests and ideas and anyone that disagrees with you is unchristian, even though you yourself are not a Christian. So beg my pardon if I don't follow your desires.its interesting how you both give a pass to the biggest satanic evil on earth which is corporations and govts.
you agree christianity can be coopted
should make you wonder.
