Continuing Reagan’s failed War on Drugs.

I'm not competing with alcohol. It's bad. But don't ignore the science that says pot damages brain development. The only thing that truly works is not partaking of either. But people want to party, they want to drown sorrows, they want to chill, and whatever else they want to do. Things will deteriorate to some level that will scare enough to not try it just as determining cigarettes cause cancer lowered the smoking rate and made places smoke free. Hopefully that's a level we can live with.
Your rights to wave your arms around end at my face is the correct policy for drugs. You can go shoot herion into your balls for all I care, just don’t make a go at mine.

Just think we could put cocaine back in Coca Cola! MAGA.

It will be fine

Didn't say it was. And definitely very bad if abused. But I keep thinking of the studies that show that the human brain isn't fully formed until about 27 for most and pot damages that development. You want it legal but legal for whom? If you set the legal age at 28 you still have teens and young adults going to dealers. Maybe an intense public education effort to inform about what's bad about young adult use but you've got people here up in arms if you inhibit any kind of usage. And of course so many have God taken out of their lives by those who hate any reference to religion. Religion is very good for convincing many young people to not participate in dangerous behavior. But we can't have that. So generally things will get worse because that's what is wanted. Nothing so far has worked and doubtful anything will. But those wanting legalization will say it'll work, as they have so many past government efforts to point to that have worked very well without unintended consequences. Good luck!
Why do you believe prohibition is an effective means to the end you seek?

So someone else is free to make their personal choices as long as it doesn't effect you. Lmao
I'm talking about adults not kids. When I speak of marketing I consider what the entertainment industry is doing a little more than soft peddling the drug culture. It should be condemned as vigorously as " Russian collusion ".

So in your opinion the show breaking bad should of never even been allowed to be put on tv?

Here is one of your Drug Czar politicians you believe in so much vanTOS.

The "Harry Anslinger" quoted here (from the article) was the main influence to the current US Drug Policy.
He was Nixon's go-to man for Drug Policy instead of the Shafer Medical Commission that he (Nixon) appointed.

Apparently, Alford was referring to the time Harry Anslinger became the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, when he led a crusade against drugs including marijuana, which eventually launched the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937. Anslinger suggested that marijuana use made people violent and insane and once made the case that jazz musicians believed in Satan because of the drug.

“Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men,” he said.

“I wish I could show you what a small marihuana cigaret can do to one of our degenerate Spanish-speaking residents,” he also said.

From the moment he took charge of the bureau, Harry was aware of the weakness of his new position. A war on narcotics alone — cocaine and heroin, outlawed in 1914 — wasn’t enough,”
Anslinger's solution was to make cannabis illegal so he could justify and build up his agency ... all a power grab.

How do you know those were his words? Because someone advocating pot said so? I wasn't there, maybe he said it, maybe not. But hey, let's dredge up every attack, every defense ever made on pot and just ignore actual scientific studies.

For someone with a conservative based stance you spend lots of time defending the federal government power in this thread. Someone condemning big pharma for peddling pills, yet will fall back on studies most likely conducted by them. Please post a link for these anti pot studies. I guarantee they are ran by special interests or the feds.

And your own laboratory research indicates what?

Also I’m curious what constitutional power does the fed have to enforce prohibition?

Legality of the War on Drugs - Wikipedia

It seems to me to be a major power grab by the federal government. This should be regulated by the states, if you are a true constitutional conservative.
From what I can see plainly for myself several states have legalized pot. The Federal government hasn't sent in the troops. However the Fed's have the right to withhold money from States that don't comply with Federal law. Is that what you're speaking to?
