And do you know the back story on this? New York gets taxes from legal cigarette sales. These guys on the street selling cigarettes aren't paying taxes. So the city government sent the cops out to clear them off the street. The guy wast doing anything but selling cigarettes. Might have been illegal, but he was just trying to make a living, nothing to die over. But big government needs it's revenue.

You don’t know anything about drugs, especially marijuana. You haven’t lived in a neighborhood where everyone and their mama is involved in the drug trade in some form or another. You haven’t seen the lives devestated or ended by prohibition. We are raising children in war zones and making criminals of whole communities.

Almost every word you said is true, for that reason I will agree with you. That said, I don't think legalization of all drugs will cure all the ills, and I can guarantee there will be unintended consequences, along with intended consequences that will not benefit citizens individually and society as a whole.

I hope so. I don’t partake in marijuana and doubt UPS would let us anyways, but the money spent on fighting this and jailing citizens whos only offense is weed should be put to better use. Prohibition on marijuana has been a joke for decades almost a century.
