Sure. Look at Italy. They waited, and many ignored the distancing protocol. Closing schools, restaurants, and public gatherings is prudent and the next step before shutting everything down.

I don't like they they just took away our freedom of peaceful assembly without any input at all from the people.

Sure, except it takes both time and money to build up the industry we sent away. You're pretty clueless, pal. You don't snap your fingers, build a new plant, and invest millions to build whatever it was that went to India or China.

Yep. Nike shoes are going to be made here again, in 2 years after they build the plant. They'll cost $300 per pair. Do you really think US manufacturing will return? That ship has sailed.

Who said anything about bringing back Nike shoes? Awhile ago, you were yammering about Winnebago parts. And how do you know so much about exactly how much something is going to cost as opposed to anywhere else in the world?

It amazes me how offensive people get over a whimsical, casual, speculative muse.

But I guess that's the difference between someone who's "clueless" and a Dunning-Kruger know-it-all.

Go take yer meds.

Or at least move it to Mexico and have more military bases on the border we still need cheap labor.

Plenty of U.S. manufacturing jobs were sent to Mexico. I remember at the time people were saying that "if we send jobs to Mexico, not as many Mexicans will come here."

LMAO! Anyone on a border state knows how well that worked out! But to be fair, I've installed plenty of Mexican made auto parts. No better or worse than everything else.

Holy crap, didn't think of that. I suppose the drive thru will be open.

I guess the restaurant ban Baker just instituted means you can get ‘take out’ but you can’t hang.

Pretty sure DD is ‘take out’.

Otherwise, Massholes will get out their ‘AR-14’s’ and start a new Revolution.

Ha, ha, ha. When your community gets to be like Seattle (probable), will you still be making jokes?

I've been to Seattle. My community is nothing like Seattle.

It's very revealing of your toxic personality that you would take pleasure in the possibility that the scourge of a filthy, bat-eater's disease would find the kind, helpful, useful, humble people of my community. Just so that I will be sad.

But your venom comes as no surprise considering you hate the notion of a stable, happy, prosperous, blue collar, middle class America.
