Differences in how they interact with viruses/infections would make sense. Advil is an NSAID (anti-inflammatory) while Tylenol utilizes acetaminophen to block pain. No anti-inflammatory component.

I saw that. The problem with Advil is it is anti inflammatory and you need at least a little fever to fight the infection. Tylenol isn't anti inflammatory so should be better. For this purpose anyway. Both have possible bad side effects so depends on the individual.
