136,671 dead Americans, 3.291+million infected. The deaths are starting to hit the southern states, as predicted by many on BrownCafe. 5 out of the top 6 states for death totals come from south of the Mason-Dixon Line. And of course the leading states for newly infected 9 out of 10 are Confederate states. Florida had a whopping 11,000+ infected yesterday with 93 deaths. But don’t worry folks Texas lead the way yesterday with 104 dead, though coming in second with new infections, 10,000+. These Confederate states are well over 1,000+ newly infected a day. The virus has spiraled out of control. The Confederate states have wasted 3 months of shutdowns, they’re back at square one! The state of Florida’s economy will be devastated for decades. They can only blame two men, Donald J Trump and Ron ”Dope“ DeSantis. Those two idiots were bragging how good Florida was doing! Florida is America’s hotspot!

How many dead children are acceptable to you to reopen schools in order to score political points? How many dead parents/grandparents when the kids bring it home?

People are going to die, regardless. It can’t be our job to figure out how to keep the maximum amount of people from dying, because we would have to lock everyone up in a rubber room. And everything, including leaving schools closed, comes with its own risks. We want to reopen school for our kids to get an education, not for political reasons.

How many kids go to school during flu season? It's much more dangerous to kids. And a 6 year old's 30 year old parents are highly unlikely to die from Covid-19. Or a 16 year old's 40 year old parents for that matter. Most deaths have occurred above 60 and precautions can be taken just like they are now. Saying kids shouldn't be in school but they're with mom at the supermarket is ludicrous, especially when although social distancing slows down the rate of transmission it doesn't eliminate it.

There's a vaccine for the flu.

Dan Domenech, who runs AASA, The School Superintendents Association. ”You have parents that are demanding the schools to open. And then you have parents that are saying, we're not going to send our kids to school. You have teachers that are saying we're not going to go back to work. Districts that are saying, with these budget cuts, we're going to have to lay off teachers.

“It's just, this is unbelievable.”
