It is being reported that cases and deaths are both down and going in the right direction. Some of the nation’s leading public health experts are raising a new concern in the endless debate over coronavirus testing in the United States: The standard tests are diagnosing huge numbers of people who may be carrying relatively insignificant amounts of the virus.
In three sets of testing data that include cycle thresholds, compiled by officials in Massachusetts, New York and Nevada, up to 90 percent of people testing positive carried barely any virus, a review by The Times found.
On Thursday, the United States recorded 45,604 new coronavirus cases, according to a database maintained by The Times. If the rates of contagiousness in Massachusetts and New York were to apply nationwide, then perhaps only 4,500 of those people may actually need to isolate and submit to contact tracing.

State Governors have the exclusive power for providing for public safety, health, and welfare within their States, not the Federal government, nor the President.
It's up to the Governors to close their States, to close businesses, to restrict activities, to order shelter in place, to test for COVID-19, to treat COVID-19. Yet you continue to blame Trump because the Governors are failing at controlling COVID-19 in their States.
And the worst State right now, ranked #1 for cases, has is a left-wing Democrat for a Governor.
The Republican Governors are not doing much better, but you only blame them, and Trump, and refuse to blame your left-wing Democrats. You are a follower blindly regurgitating what the left-wing media feeds you.
