In the Spirit of Honore' Daumier
It's laughable when people try and pretend that the stock market was floundering until Trump took office?

Reality is that the stock market was in abysmal shape, as were most sectors of the economy when Obama took office.

....fast forward eight years and most sectors of the economy had recovered and the stock market was reaping huge gains as he exited....and that's a fact.

Now did he step up for labor issues as promised?....that's another story.

A good test of what is going to happen come November 3rd will be how the markets perform today and tomorrow after the first debate.

Labor Issues will not improve no matter who is in office (last two contracts under the Obama administration)...Face it nobody gives a rip on who our leadership endorses not when with the last teamster election recorded just 17 percent voter participation...meaning that 83 percent of our membership did not even bother phone in, it was that simple....

In 1982....20 percent of America's working force were unionized, today it is 10 percent...under both Republican and Democratic presidencies....

When was the last national strike that made the headlines, affected the stock markets and had the feds involved over the last 30 years? :chaseups::upssmiley::strikesmileys:

You turned it political, don't blame anybody else. I don't even recall any posts about the failures of UPS or the Teamsters you made. Maybe a couple at the very beginning.

Most of your posts you were blaming the Confederate States, Trump, right wingers and the Republicans for the coronavirus and all the deaths. That sounds political to me.

Should I continue? Because there are probably hundreds more.

Actually thats not true. The right wingers came and attacked me and my thread. They made it political because no one forced them to read my thread. Ignore, move on. But, what they did was politicized the thread, and I decided that I’ll defend Americans, not right wing dopes.

210,844 dead Americans, 7.408+million infected. The United States is starting to see a rise in infections. As we all have learned throughout this pandemic. When infections rise, weeks later people die.

In June, the total case count for the U.S. increased 46.7%, from around 1.8 million to more than 2.7 million. By the end of July, total cases were up another 70%. In August, that growth slowed to 35%, although the country still added more than 1.6 million new cases. September's pace has again halved, to 18.4%, as states reported more than 1.1 million new cases.

The death rate, on a monthly basis, has also decreased significantly. Deaths rose 21.7% in June and 19.3% in July, then rebounded to a 21.7% rise in August. Deaths in September increased 11.6%.

Hmmm, guess the doctors and scientists must think President Trump did a good job.

Thank you President Trump!

I decided that I’ll defend Americans, not right wing dopes.

I see. If people don't agree with your opinion, or your ideology, they are not Americans. That is pretty pathetic.

I don't agree with your liberal ideology, or most of what you actually say, but I will not sit here and say you are not an American just because your political beliefs are different than mine. You have a right given to you by the Constitution to think how you like and to express that opinion through the Freedom of Speech.

But don't tell me that I do not have that right also, or that I am not an American because I don't think like you. This country is pretty much divided down the middle with the number of Democrats and the number of Republicans. So there are millions of people who think like I do, but there are also millions of people who think like you do.

212,406 dead Americans, 7.484+million infected. Yesterday saw 955 Americans die from coronavirus. The state of Florida led the way with 173 dead. Florida’s economy has received devastating news as Disney is having lay-offs, and Carnival has announced they are canceling most 2020 US cruises. DeSantis has failed the once proud state of Florida. President Trumps CDC has extended the no-sail order for large cruises on US waters from Sept 30 to Oct 30.

No mention of the Disney layoffs in California? Probably at a greater percent since California has kept them completely shut down due to the terrible Democrat / Socialist plans there.
