Anyone hear any news concerning the use of helpers this peak? I would think it's a no.

We are being “strongly encouraged” to take helpers. We are allowed to refuse. But the way they put it to us, they were basically threatening that if we don’t take helpers it is more bargaining unit work that will go to PVDs instead.

Probably just tell us we have to wear masks, I would imagine. They were more than willing to let preload and hub operations continue with no social distancing. And in fact they actually had a few preloaders double shifting as helpers during Covid peak season in April and May. Somebody filed an osha complaint about the lack of masks at the building and they started to enforce the masks a little more, but still not super strictly. They wouldn’t care if half the preloaders got Ebola as long as they got wrapped on time.
