sure things are compared all the time.
Yes, and compared badly. Which is what you guys have done.

You didn't keep population density, vitamin D status, minority population, obesity distribution, or anything else constant.

And then claim it's policy or masks that made the difference.

Scientists really suck at science.

I just listed 5 great reasons even surface-similar countries like Australia and the US cannot be compared appropriately on COVID response. It gets even worse when you try to compare others.

Control group. Experimental group. Keeping variables constant. Comparing outcomes. This is science. They don't do any of it.

good luck with that.

Statistically, it can be done if there is a will. You can find populations with similar minority proportions, obesity rates, vitamin D status, and all that, and then compare outcomes. It absolutely can be done.

The scientists are just lazy because that is really hard and takes a lot of field work. And it's easier for them to just impose their political worldview on bad data.

So that's what they do.

whats the best western countries if you are poor or middle class?

That's subjective, you act as though there is a right answer. The only answer that applies to everyone is "it depends on what you value". You and everyone who thinks like you, believe you know what's best for everyone. You don't. Sorry.

rickyb is the most independent thinker on this board. The man has no affiliation. He’s just a truth seeker and an observer who isn’t afraid to share his sometimes maybe radical views to a bunch of conservatives.
rickyb is a true g. But if you’re close minded, he might confuse you

I disagree, he just regurgitates what others say, and when questioned in any depth, he can't answer.

I do agree that he struggles to provide in depth explanations for his thoughts. But goddamnit, I admire the guys balls and honesty. He may regurgitate what others say, but we ALL do that at some point. I think he formulates his opinion based on his own independent research, doesn’t seem to rely on one particular point of view nor affiliation to get to his beliefs.

My friend. It is hard to have discussions with people who have been brainwashed to believe that everybody except their chosen club is brainwashed. Makes it hard to get anywhere when they think you’re retarded simply because you object to the regurgitated narrative they feed you.

OK, right now we're looking at a new $2 Trillion infrastructure bill. Only about 10% or so of it will actually be spent on infrastructure, similar to only a fraction of the recent covid relief bill actually being spent on covid relief. Money is pouring through a sieve like never before but Democrats will defend it because it's their party doing it. And people like AOC say it's not enough. She wants $10 Trillion spent. Saw her say it. So in my opinion anyone advocating this kind of spending, and yes it was bad enough under Bush, Obama, and Trump, is either brainwashed or just lacks a fundamental understanding of economics. They either don't realize the inflation and possible crash this will cause, or they want the system to crash. And anyone critical of it is called crazy, thinks everyone is brainwashed.
