Coronavirus

Earth to Canada. The CDC admitted in their own website that only about 6% of covid deaths were actually from covid, not just people who died and tested positive for covid antibodies
Yes the CDC is apart of a confusing conspiracy. First they report covid deaths total over 500,000 in America, but then on their own website they say well only 6% of that 500,000 actually died from covid. Make it make sense. But any way, when communicating with republicans one always runs into the conspiratorial mindset problem.

Wrong about the less than 1% death rate that everything was shut down over? We should probably close every fast food restaurant there is. Heart disease and obesity kills 100’s of thousands every year.
Again, I was on here in 2020 and a lot of posters in April and May and June were saying not that many people would die from Covid, well over 500,000 Americans died and the life expectancy of Americans was lowered. A lot of posters were really wrong about the number of deaths. Secondly, the other thing that was posted was that all the Covid hysteria was a grand conspiracy involving the media, the CDC, the democrats, doctors and hospitals who were all hyping up the danger of Covid to hurt trump. But here we are well into 2021 and trump is long gone and yet the same people who were hyping up the danger of Covid when trump was president are still doing it. A lot of posters were really wrong about that insane conspiracy theory. This is a chance for cats to grow and ask themselves why they were so wrong about Covid

I've read repeatedly that many of those deaths were from other causes and attributed to covid. In case you haven't noticed since Trump left the number of deaths have steadily gone down. Did Biden wave a magic wand or are the actual number of covid deaths being more accurately reported?

The life expectancy of Americans declined last year. Like every year for a long time now they track the number of Americans who die and last the number of deaths spiked up enough to lower life expectancy, but the covid death numbers were actually apart of a grand conspiracy. Its just the same irrational nonsense over and over again from these posters.

Like I was half joking with the broken brains insult, but damn these posters can't think. Like they really think there is some "controversy" over the number of Covid deaths, they are really pretending that the CDC doesn't track total every year and has for a long time.

ttps://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/verify-comparing-total-deaths-from-2020-to-2019-and-2018/ar-BB1bJgCo
Data is provided through the 48th week of 2020. So far this year, the CDC reports that 2,877,601 people have died. At the same point in 2018, the number was 2,606,928, and in 2019, it was 2,614,950. The number of deaths to this point in 2020 is at least 260,000 greater than either of the past two years. But that number is an underestimate because the CDC publishes data based on the number of death certificates it has received. Since it can take a couple of weeks for all death certificates to be recorded, the numbers for the last two weeks, at least, will increase as time goes by. If the last two weeks produce a similar number of deaths as the weeks before, the margin to this point will actually be close to 310,000.

Another way to see the effect of COVID-19 is that more people have died already this year than did in the entirety of either 2018 or 2019. There were 2,831,836 deaths in all of 2018 and 2,845,793 in all of 2019.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of the United States has increased by .48-.73 percent over the last five years. The increase in deaths to this point in 2020 is 10%, far outpacing population growth.

So far, more than 350,000 Americans have died of COVID-19. According to preliminary weekly data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (as of January 6, 2021), 3,187,086 people died from all causes between January 1 and December 26, 2020. While this data is preliminary and is incomplete for at least the last eight weeks of reported data, it provides for useful context.

According to the same estimates, 2,852,609 people died in 2019, meaning at least 334,000 more people have died so far in 2020 than 2019, despite missing or incomplete data for October through December. Using the recent estimate of the 2020 population from the Census Bureau, the death rate so far in 2020 would be 9.7 deaths per 1,000, the highest death rate since 1949. However, the recent population estimate does not incorporate the results of the 2020 Census, which should improve the accuracy of the estimate.

OK, but were all deaths attributed to covid actually caused by covid?

And you know for a fact every death reported as from covid is accurate? All I know is what I've read. But you seem to accept the government's word without question. Hope you didn't have elderly relatives in New York nursing homes.
I accept what's going on worldwide not just the US. Ttku.....

He doesn't accept the government's word. He rejects reality and substitutes his own. The government has said up to 94% of deaths attributed to covid were caused by some other factor and the person just happened to test positive for covid sometime since the start of testing. The government also said that up 90% of pcr positive tests were false. These are established and accepted facts. He rejects those facts, possibly because the government hasn't bothered to adjust the counts to reflect their own facts.
