Courtesy Positions

Anytime anybody tries to point out that they would like to take a vacant/new preferred position. Our steward says they aren’t assigned by seniority. They are a “Courtesy Position”

If there was a pay difference, such as with skilled positions, it should be based on seniority. If not, then you may be out of luck.

My hub they usually put the newer people on unload / loading trailers.
Small sort seems like it is favoritism
Clerks are determined by a bid sheet
This is all for a small reload shift by the way.

There's also yard afterwards for parking / fueling trucks . . . not sure exactly how that is supposed to work . . .

There should be a preferred jobs book. Good luck finding it however. They can train whoever they want to cover those jobs tho

every 22.3 position is tracked at a District level
