Does Anyone Just Use Medicare?

I’ve had it with the crappy United Healthcare insurance. Awful coverage. Ride deductible. I could just use Medicare even if I have to get a supplement to fill in some gaps. Does anyone just use Medicare?

Then I would recommend Medicare A/B/D/G, this limits your out-of-pocket to the annual deductible, for covered expenses. Definitely NOT Medicare Advantage. Tap into the FedEx benefit that helps pay retiree insurance premiums. My monthly premiums run around $400, but I am several years older. Since retiring I have had 2 knee replacement, a hip repair, and a triple bypass. My out-of-pocket cost for everything was about $1000 for bills totaling over $250,000. United Healthcare is garbage.

I just went to a seminar on Medicare, and thought they said there is a penalty if you don't sign up at 65.
You have a 3 month window on either side of your 65th birthday to sign up without complication. Outside that window you are subject to qualifying based on health, as well as increased premiums.
