Hard for them to negotiate it away when despite paying high wages to FT employees and much better than average benefits to all we still turn in fat profits quarter after quarter.

I'm not saying the next contract it will be gone. But I would be very surprised if they still existed the contract after that.

Sure but do they provide a pension?

Nobody is providing pensions anymore.

Pensions are quickly becoming a thing of the past. 401k's are portable.

There will come a point where new employees will be offered a 401k match in lieu of a pension.

We have 3 TCD in my center. They work most of the time in summer, non stop at peak and the occasional Friday the rest of the year. If they were perm, they would be laid off, bumping onto the preload and local sort.

No youd have more people taking RO like where I work; if my tiny center can manage im sure a giant hub with 300 drivers can make it work
