Ok, the numbers across the board are way better than anyone expected. Earnings, GDP, unemployment, durable goods, jobless claims and countless other economic measures are all exceeding estimates. How much air can this balloon hold?

Go ask Jerome Powell . In recent years we have witnessed the diminishing power of the American presidency no matter who held the office leaving the American people to confront a cold hard fact.....The Chairman Of The Federal Reserve Board runs this country.

Silly things people say to pretend to be smart.

The fed doesn't run the country, they can barely run themselves. They are consistently behind the curve, because they act on backwards looking metrics. They have one job, control inflation, and they suck at it.

Numbers are pretty much in line of what was expected. Fed should feel that rates are doing what was intended and a September pause is being priced in.

Investors Micheal Burry predicts a market crash as he bought 1.6 Billion in put options. That 1.6B represents 90% percent of his entire profolio. Putting his money where his mouth is. He bought both S&P and NASDAQ options.

How can a market keep going up, especially when earnings are a lot less than the previous year?
Earnings overall have exceeded expectations. Yesterday's retail sales was stronger than expected and CPI, PPI and employment continue to defy worldwide trends. Burry is a gambler and is wagering that the Fed will have to continue raising rates until employment inflation is crushed.
