The GOP has controlled the purse strings for two spending cycles now. They should run on the market being one of their accomplishments. Businesses are booming because we have settled the spending issues.
I don't think deficit spending is settling anything. As we add to the debt and interest rates go up we're spending huge amounts to just service the debt. That will either crowd out discretionary spending or we will keep adding to the debt until it all collapses when we can no longer afford to service the debt.

What do you consider a spending cycle? The GOP took over the House in January '23.

They have passed the 24-25 fiscal spending budget and it signed into law. They own the government spending through August 2025.

The Left is running on jobs, economy and the stock market when the GOP should be doubling down on those topics as a result of their taking control of spending.

Good luck! The average family kept a lot more of their money under Trump and they're all well aware of it.
Free money buys a lot of support. 9T in new "printed" helicopter cash for everyone. I'm not complaining, we received hundreds of thousands of tax free, interest free and forgivable government loans.

I wonder about the Baby Boomer vote, most are already retired and not hurting as much. The same cannot be said about their children or grandchildren, this next generation will be affected by the decisions currently coming out of Washington. Currently my son who grosses 130,000 cannot even afford buying a house, the prices are ridiculous now and the increases in interest rates and property taxes add to the problem. I cannot see how four more years of Biden will help them, these kids are not stupid, all this stupid ass politically correct nonsense will not be enough to get Biden back into office.

In every year of Trump's administration once his tax cuts were enacted families saw their take home rise. And they saved on fuel costs too. And Trump didn't just hand out 9 trillion. That was authorized by your Democratic controlled House. You know, the body that you claimed was responsible for all the spending in the last two cycles.

Trump increased the national debt by $7.8 trillion while he was in office. Most of that was pandemic spending. In his first three years he added half of the debt Biden did in his first three years.
