Let the big boys get mega rich or poor. I follow this: Currently I'm at 40 percent stocks, 60 percent bonds. Not flashy but I can sleep well at night.

Bonds aren't very sexy but safe and reliable investments.

These seven too bubbly?

Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Tesla, representing about a quarter of the entire US stock market.

The fund manager was referring to the so-called Magnificent Seven, a group including Nvidia and Microsoft that has grown so large it accounts for a massive chunk of market cap-weighted indexes like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.

I'm sure they are, but you may have to contact them to set up a margin account and get approval for such trades. I believe there are documents that you must certify before you can start.
It doesnt seem so. I called maybe 15 yrs ago and got a no and the Summary Plan Description says options/margin among other things are prohibited.

That’s true. If I decide to hang it up around 59 I might need investment income for 30+ years though. If I can get 5% real growth vs. 3% real then I think it’s worth the risk even in retirement to have a lot of exposure to stocks.
Stay out of debt. I can't believe how many guys retired and still had a mortgage
You're always going to have some kind of bills but if you stay out of debt , that's a big game changer

The click here link takes you to Prudential, which tells you it’s now controlled by Empower so I have no idea if we actually have self self managed anymore. I never had it before so who knows.

Yep this takes you go the old Prudential page. It is gutted though except for the link for your SMA(bnymellon/dreyfus) You access it through this link. Hopefully it is integrated into the Empower site.
