I mean I get where you are coming from and a free society doesn’t mean an equal one. The courts certainly are biased and that should cause more outrage than it does. We should all be equal in the eyes of the law and people should be punished equally. Other than that you can’t be expecting equality in every facet of your life. You’ll only drag down society as a whole that way. Look at government who promised this, they did not turn their countries into utopias.

I’m not expecting equality in every aspect in everyone’s life, that’s daft.

What bums me out is the ‘rules’ are set by the monied class, so there isn’t a level playing field.

We’re just marbles on a table that’s not flat.

Citizens United set that tilted table in stone.

You’re talking about the marbles, I’m talking about the table.

If it bums you out that much, don’t get gay-married, problem solved.

you have a serious case of ADD

you stated the reason people object to gay marriage is they find it "icky"

i pointed out that there are people who strongly object for religious reasons.

your out of focus response was "if it bums me out" I never said it bums me out I corrected your assumption on the reason people object.

You're never going to learn anything if you cant focus on the conversation you're having.

maybe thats how you roll, you're welcome to be a victim all you want. You should though keep your one man pity party to yourself.

Honestly, mostly due to SC candidates appointed by R’s, the court has leaned to the corporate corner over the years.

Maybe you agree with that, maybe not.

Kennedy was a Repub appointee, and he was mostly conservative (Citizens United, wtf), but he also ruled in favor of gay marriage.

His legacy will be a mixed-bag.
From what i heard yesterday he voted with conservative justices about 80% of the time and liberal justices about 20%.

Object for any reason you want to, doesn’t change the fact that it’s not up to you, sorry.

Reagan had a House and Senate majority full of Republicans that got elected on the stop abortion cry and had a conservative SC. If it was ever going to be overturned, it was then. They didn't.
I am against abortion. I believe it is murder.
I am also pro choice. I am made with a free will like everyone else.
Our choices have consequences. Just because we have choice, does not mean what you choose is right.

Nope, Congress wasn't completely controlled by Republicans until '94. First time in 40 years.
