Down goes Kennedy

Honestly, mostly due to SC candidates appointed by R’s, the court has leaned to the corporate corner over the years.

Maybe you agree with that, maybe not.

Kennedy was a Repub appointee, and he was mostly conservative (Citizens United, wtf), but he also ruled in favor of gay marriage.

His legacy will be a mixed-bag.

Wish they would get government out of marriage, not throw gays into that whole mess. I never minded people not supporting gay marriage, guess it’s why I found being conservative easy. Never want to be married.

What’s it to you if a same-sex couple gets married?

It blows my mind this even had to go to the SC.

At this point marriage, in the eyes of the law, is about taxes and what-not.

If two Christian-as-fk white heteros get married, as far as the ‘state’ is concerned, they move into a different tax situation.

What’s the difference if two same-sex people get married?

No difference to the ‘state’.

It’s just that some people find it icky.

If your concept of marriage is threatened by other people getting married, who don’t conform to your hetero-normative view of reality, maybe you shouldn’t get married.

I digress.

Back to the SC, this almost isn’t about R vs. D or conservative vs. liberal, this is really corporations vs. individuals, and the corporations are winning.

And, you may agree with that.

It’s why my long term relationship ended, he wanted marriage, I didn’t.

Corporation vs people.

I think corporations are he lesser of two evils.
I think governments have destroyed societies more frequently than corporations.

I decided to be gay so I wouldn't have to get married and then they went ahead and changed the law. Such a pain in the ass !

Our Government is run by Corporations, it always has been.

Every war the US has ever been in had corporate interests at heart.

Guess who’s not included in the travel ban? Saudi Arabia, who's nationals filled up the planes on 9-11.

National security my ass.

RIP Bob Ross.

Happy little Constitution, let’s just add a little white here, take some brown out, see how nice that is, nothing wrong with having a tree for a friend...

Who runs corporations? People.
What are people motivated by? Self interest.
