Bob Ross’s legacy lives on.

I’m legit amazed there’s a Trump Ross pic.

Who runs corporations? People.
What are people motivated by? Self interest.
Who influences our government? People with their own self interests.

That’s the Heritage Foundation talking point, but after Citizens United, the reality is that folks with money have more ‘free’ speech then those who don’t.

It’s academic at this point, but my voice, or yours, is drowned out by corporations with an agenda and more cash than you could dream of having.

Free speech indeed.

BTW, every single one of Trump’s potential picks for Kennedy’s replacement have been vetted by and supplied by the Heritage Foundation.

Pour a little out for small-d democracy, we’re potentially going back to a pre-Roosevelt ‘gilded-age’ winner take all style Republic.

Maybe you’re OK with that, and that’s your choice.

Elections have consequences.

Our Government is run by Corporations, it always has been.

Every war the US has ever been in had corporate interests at heart.

Guess who’s not included in the travel ban? Saudi Arabia, who's nationals filled up the planes on 9-11.

National security my ass.

Your hatred for Trump is blinding you, again.

Maybe there's a smidgen of truth here. Mr. National security my ass. :teethy:

TRUMP’S BAN ON REFUGEES: The Real Reason Why Saudi Arabia and Egypt Were Not Included

Essentially, the new order arising in the Middle East weighed heavily on which countries President Trump included in the ban. If the elite media decided to look at events with open eyes they would see that the President and his advisers are building a robust coalition to once and for all destroy radical Islam and stabilize the region that has been most volatile in modern times.

Not saying this is good or bad or that it will work or not.. but Muslim hating?

Not a mention of Trump in the post you’re quoting.

Show me the money.

How is your speech being drowned out?

What is stopping people from banding together like Teamster’s DRIVE program or various religious groups and donating to send out a political message in the form of ads and campaign contributions?

Don’t be so dramatic, we’ve been in a winner takes all Republic for a while now.

Maybe if the federal government wasn’t so powerful it wouldn’t matter as much and people’s beliefs and wants would be better met by state and local governments. The president was never meant to be the most important person in our lives and hyper focused on.

You’re correct, I just thought we would have progressed from the 1920’s by now, my bad

Are you fkg serious?

Reply and explain to me how your ‘voice’ is equal to the Koch brothers, or George Soros, or Oprah.

It’s just math.
I kind of did. I posed the question what is stopping me from banding together with exsisting groups who share my values and contributing to their war coffers for election time.

I mean I get where you are coming from and a free society doesn’t mean an equal one. The courts certainly are biased and that should cause more outrage than it does. We should all be equal in the eyes of the law and people should be punished equally. Other than that you can’t be expecting equality in every facet of your life. You’ll only drag down society as a whole that way. Look at government who promised this, they did not turn their countries into utopias.

Travel ban = Trump = you owe me $$$. :surprised::-)

I owe you nothing.

The ‘travel ban’ does nothing for national security.

Call it whatever you want, and spin it however you want, explaining away the fact that if we were actually and factually going against potential ‘terrorism’, this isn’t the ‘travel ban’ we’d actuate.

It’s cool though, maybe you feel safer that even though we haven’t suffered a terrorist attack from any of the countries on the travel ban in over two decades, it’s just the right thing to do.

I disagree.

actually its a religious issue to those that strongly object.

as a lib you're understanding of religious beliefs only if its a muslim that holds them.

There’s maybe forty different religions at play in this country, thank God for the separation of church and state.

Maybe you want to live in a Theocracy, I sure don’t.
