I heard my building is paying $15/hr for driver helpers and $14/hr for seasonal package handlers.

I just got hired on (start Monday 5:30am) they offered me $15 per hour to be a driver helper, and then I also got an offer to be a package handler for $12.

I just want a chance to prove myself. I'm not fat unless you consider 170Ibs 6ft tall guy fat. I can run pretty decently and excel better in fast pace environments. I just don't want the drivers in my area to discriminate even though they just might.

Just show them what you can do (safely)

See Reply #2. UPS hires many more than actually needed because of the high turnover. I wouldn't turn down a different job opportunity if I was you.

Not necessarily easier but much warmer as you will be in the building.

I accepted both positions, I need the money. I plan to join the NAVY in a couple months after anyways, so I just want some quick cash.

Yes it is warmer working inside the building and you will have more set hours instead of waiting for a phone call. May have a better chance of coming back permanent in Feb. or March.
