I was fired for stealing. They stopped me in the parking lot and I had UPS dirt on my shirt. They took my badge right there and wiped my shirt free of all ups dirt.

I was fired Monday and i'm going to panel in a few days.

Monday after work I was walking back to my personal vehicle, and little did I know my on-road was walking behind me. Then, I opened my door to get in and about 3 UPS pens rolled out from underneath my seat and onto the ground. I look up and my sup is staring at me in disbelief.

Fired! for stealing. Tuesday, I was escorted from the building with my center manager holding the evidence in front of my face for all to see.

This is ridiculous... what do I do??

Any words of advice Frigid?
This post smells fishy. A) You wouldn't go to panel that quickly. B) Having daily work accessories in your personal vehicle is expected. Would you be terminated for having your diad pouch/clip in your car? NO.

We know.
I've noticed in the past when I start to reply to the original post in a thread with over 80 replies, it is better to read a few first.

There's always more to the story....but "technically"....it is stealing. They are available for drivers to use on route...taking them home could be considered theft of UPS property. Do they enforce it? Hardly ever....even I have a handful of ups pens at home.

Assuming his story is even true....management must've been burning for an excuse to get rid of him for some reason.
So is taking a uniform home also considered stealing ...this is total bs if it is true
