All combo 22.3 jobs in our building are being rebid and reclassified because of a change of operations. 4 of the jobs are being moved to a nearby center.
It is very likely that I will not win a bid to stay at at the current center. I know that seniority gets dovetailed in at the new center.
I have two questions. Will the 22.3 jobs at the new center all have to be rebid and or reclassified? It seems without knowing what's available at the new center as far as schedule and type of work. One couldn't be informed whether or not to bid the job at the current center.
The second question I have is if I choose to not follow the work because the job is being moved and the bid that I won is no longer valid can I return to my prior position?
I'm in the southern and finding it hard to get a straight answer.
