How would you contrast/compare the 2 individuals to arrive at that conclusion ?

Easily.

1. Both men were at the top of their games, at a legendary level while in their prime.

2. Both men were ultimately banned from their perspective professions and organizations.

3. Both men spent time in prison, then when released, obsessed over reinstatement, while never achieving their objectives.

That's an interesting observation.

5 months for tax evasion vs. 4 years for jury-tampering, mail fraud, and bribery ?

I can see the parallel.... but, it's kind of loose.


I admired Pete Rose for his athleticism, to a sport he dominated.

I respect James R. Hoffa, for his dedication towards the common working man.
