Hearing about the gay marriage news this morning (5 states challenged it & lost) it reminded me that the only winners in gay marriage are the lawyers.

Now, couples can't just walk away like before. Now comes the dreaded 2 words......community property!
They'll need a lawyer or 2 to split up, decide who gets the kids,who get the pets, there goes half your retirement..... Welcome to the world of marriage......be careful what you wish for.........

There are also many unpleasant upbringings from heterosexual marriages also.

My sister ( who is gay) and her partner spent about $10K to adopt a baby girl from a teenage mom who was in a bad situation.

That little girl is 8 yrs old now and gets straight A's in school. She is happy, well adjusted and an amazing human being living in a stable, loving home. There are millions of kids born to straight parents who could only dream of having the blessings that this little girl has in life.
