UPS was spending millions lobbying for a reclassification of Express employees. There's an inverse ration in the time you spend posting about this vs the time you spend understanding this.

You are completely missing my point. Does Fred care about $30 million? Obviously not. Fred has kept the two separate all these years for control and to enrich himself and the investors. That model has run it's course and it's inefficiency is forcing the very integration he swore would never happen. WAFXN!

No. Never even heard him speak before. I do think that such a claim that he did say such a thing (especially when it’s claimed so often) should be able to be backed up with a direct quote.

For someone who hasn't missed a thing, you do a great job of arguing otherwise.
This isn't about Fred doing right or wrong. It's about a law and how it's applied, and your stance is nothing but a reflection of your personal petty opinion about Fred. "Drivers aren't pilots" is the totality of your argument.

Here's what happened:
Express was covered under the RLA since the 1970s.
UPS lobbied to have Express reclassified.
Express lobbied to fight the reclassification.
Express wasn't reclassified.
I don't know how you see "you're going to remain under the classification you've always had" as a "special deal." You don't know what you're talking about.
