US prosecutors to drop charges against Alec Baldwin in Rust death
Lawyers for Baldwin say New Mexico prosecutors have dismissed involuntary manslaughter charge in fatal on-set incident.www.aljazeera.com
Going according to plan...A decoy trial, that if the plaintiff takes as bait, will accomplish two things...
1) Baldwin will be acquitted, since they can't prove intent (necessary in criminal trials,) and claims of negligence are dubious, since he had employees in charge of checking the weapons.
And...
2) successfully defending against a criminal judgement, will eliminate or greatly reduce the settlement in the inevitable civil suit that will follow.
He'll probably get away with no charges, and an undisclosed private settlement in lieu of civil court.
