I guess an opinion paper from the Heritage Foundation really isn’t persuasive. Maybe you could find a Supreme Court case that supports your position?

It’s even possible that Madison strongly disagrees with what the Federal government has become. Well, he’s dead and the “consent of the governed” today is what it is and they (we) determine through a representative republic what “necessary and proper” is.

If you don’t like the “Necessary and Proper” clause, the “Commerce Clause” is probably in effect as well.

Oh come now.
Much easier to make know it all statements about what dead people would want. The "founders" have this all figured out. Muskets for everyone!

You are correct, and it is being proven now. When Obama had the house and Senate, why didn't they pass further restrictive gun laws or try and amend the Constitution. The correct answer is it is not what the governed would tolerate. And the fact of the matter is every man chooses which hill he will die on, and I offer this is one of these hills, and we are armed. It's just an undeniable truth.

How about the "Don't tread on me clause." You won't understand my meaning and even say it's not in the Constitution, which is correct. However, it is a clause written in the hearts of hundreds of millions of American citizens. You clowns can take your best shot. But to attain your final solution requires more bloodshed than 1000 years of unlawful gun violence. You clowns will never get it, a law abiding citizen who may be a gun owner is not the problem. The problem is the criminal element the left does back flips to protect and minimize the punishment or sanctions of their unlawful acts.

Oh my God! You’re one of those who get drunk, put “Red Dawn” in the VCR and spend the next two hours aroused, aren’t you?

Yes. I get it.

And if the solution to protecting second amendment gun rights and kids is paying to have armed, trained guards in every public school in America, I think that’s worth it.

Yes. That’s what I said.

I have no idea what Obama has to do with it. @iunnoimjustaFT was trying to say that the Federal government has no right to firefighters teachers and police are not a federal responsibility.

Yes. I get it.

I will agree with you it is worth it, the very first penny of a states budget should go to protecting our grandchildren, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, orphans and any form of person who is compelled to go into a (Federal)state institution
whatever it takes until the very last penny is gone, if that is what is required. I bet this response surprised you.

Why would it surprise me? You agreed with me. I’m trying to get to a solution that hasn’t been tried since no other suggestion can get any consensus. I would expect you to agree with me.

Amazing, I make a statement of truth, and you attribute it to getting drunk and watching Red Dawn, choose to believe what you will, if confiscation was ever attempted in this country, and that is the final act of the lefts play, the bloodshed of the Civil War would look like a monthly menstrual cycle. I'm certain it won't happen though in anyone who is reading this lifetime.
