For those of you not watching...

Mitchapalooza heads East to take on Baltimore.

Don't be surprised if Pernell McPhee dials up a little more violence for Joe Flacco.

What isn't helping is that a lot of white Americans are not respecting these players freedom of speech rights. Most of these players come from poor urban and rural backgrounds which which has shaved their own personal views. White America just needs to get used to it cuz it ain't going away anytime soon.
What is it about the First Amendment and it having absolutely ZERO application in this case do you not grasp?

What is it about there being nothing in NFL rules or their contracts that prohibit this application of the first amendment that you don't understand?
No Constitutional Freedom of Speech in the Private Sector

Employees in the public sector – who work for governmental entities – have First Amendment rights in the workplace, subject to certain restrictions. The case law that has developed over time regarding First Amendment rights in the workplace has come from the public sector, as the government is directly affecting employees in public sector cases. There are no Washington cases that this author is aware of where freedom of speech has been protected under the First Amendment in private sector workplaces.

They are paid to play ball. They do that very well, I’m told. There are no workplace rules preventing their actions, and any new rules would have to be negotiated.

They are silently kneeling in remembrance of those who lost their lives. It’s not about what tRUmp has made you think it’s about. I bet you didn’t even think about it 5 weeks ago.

Or even leave the locker room.
Here’s what the NFL game operations manual says regarding the national anthem:

"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."

Consider yourself informed.
