One thing I have learned about Americans when it comes to issues that are dealing with race(which is really at the heart of the NFL protests) is that a lot of what they say about a given issue is utterly meaningless to their true feelings.

This whole anger at the nfl protests is the latest example of this. Most of those against the protests tell one huge lie, and then display a level of hypocrisy that is mindboggling to me.

First the lie is "oh I don't want the players to force politics into sports." But if kneeling during the national anthem is a political act then standing is also a political act. One can't be a political act without the other also being a political act.

So to be consistent they should want the national anthem to not be played before games. Yet they want the exact opposite of this. They actually want to force their political view onto the players by making them carry out the political act of standing during the national anthem, so they are completely fine with politics in sports and are lying.

Now the hypocrisy, they say "oh the protests insults the troops or the nation", but these same people are ok with Trump being president.

So they are such uber patriots that they believe that nfl players kneeling during the national anthem insults the troops and the nation, but yet they are ok with and don't see having a president that attacks gold star families, insults all POW's, insults native American troops, and has the whole Russia thing swirling around him as insulting to the troops or the nation.

Just pure hypocrisy.

To add to the discussion I saw at the end, I hate the Bears and the Packers. I grew up near Chicago and I was a kid when the whole super bowl shuffle thing came around, my whole family are huge Bears fans, so that's why I hate the Packers, but I didn't want to have the same favorite team as my father and uncles, even though Walter Payton is still the best all around football player I ever saw, so the year before winning the super bowl, the Bears got blown out in the NFC championship by the 49ers and Joe Montana that became my favorite team.

A lot of people don't know that the reason the Bears started using the Fridge to run the ball and score touchdowns is because in that NFC championship game the 49ers used an offensive linemen at running back, so when the teams played the next season, Ditka purposefully gave the ball to the Fridge and that started the whole thing.
