Where did they go?
“Most of the condoms and contraceptives purchased with government funds have gone to countries in Africa that are still dealing with a significant AIDS epidemic. Some of the contraceptives have been distributed through the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR, a global health initiative started by George W. Bush.”

Only $8 million was for condoms. None of it went to Gaza

“The U.S. Agency for International Development, the government agency responsible for administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance, said in areport last April that it had spent $61 million in 2023 to provide condoms and other contraceptives to other countries.

But just $8 million of that went for the purchase of condoms, the report said. And not a cent was used to send condoms to Gaza.”

I keep bringing up condoms in Gaza?
Every single day, for months on end, condoms this, Gaza that. Give it a break man

Jk lol but I’m referring to your comments here

What’s up with all the sexy time in Gaza @rickyb ? Thought there’s supposed to be a genocide going on.

Not in the concentration camps, which is what you endlessly refer to Gaza as.

OK, @Over70irregs keeps talking about the coming population explosion in Africa while we're spending tens of millions on contraceptives for African countries but only $8 million went to condoms which last I checked were the only effective contraceptive to fight AIDS. So either earmark it all for condoms to fight AIDS or stop spending our taxpayer money for things other countries should be concerned with. He keeps talking about some tidal wave of humanity that's coming here from Africa eventually but the countries that should be concerned with that are in Europe. Let them pay for contraceptives in Africa. It's about time free spending liberals over here learn that the gravy train has run out of steam. We can't afford to be magnanimous anymore.

I posted about condoms in Gaza once. You might be confusing that with all of my posts about trans insanity.

It wasn't difficult to believe that condoms for Gaza were funded because of all of the insane leftist things that had actually been funded over the last few years.

Ummm I think the point is to slow down their population increase (It won’t work) also somehow keep 41 currencies going. If the west standardized their currency they would be easier to control.

Countries have adopted the Dollar as their currency and brought their inflation under control. Ecuador and El Salvador for example. Panama has been using the Dollar since the canal was built. But it's up to each country to decide what they want to do with their currency. Most will keep their own because they like to print too.

We are talking Africa though. They have resources these other countries cannot touch. France prints and controls several countries. There are still colonial control mechanisms at play.

China is in South America too. Argentina has huge resources also, especially lithium. And is one of the top soy producers. Which countries is France controlling?

Burkina Faso? I'm not aware of any country in Africa being under direct control of France. I believe the last one was Algeria.

“After the abolition of slavery, huge “reparations” were paid to the French former slave owners. These were used in part to establish colonial banks in Africa, later joined by others, which would strive to ensure that French domination would endure post-slavery by maintaining “the colonial pact.” This pact involved the deliberate underdeveloping of the colonies’ economies, their forced reliance on raw material exports, and a French monopoly on shipping, exports, and imports. “

Learned something tonight. Their currency, the CFA, is pegged to the Euro and has been since France adopted the Euro in 1999. And they're looking to transition to their own currency, the "Eco." France has definitely used their Franc to their advantage but France doesn't control the Euro. A lot of critics in France have accused their government of keeping French West Africa impoverished but since WWII a number of former French colonies have started their own currency. Some have returned to the CFA after creating their own currency. And a couple of countries that were never French colonies decided to adopt the CFA. So it's not as cut and dried as France is controlling everything. They are no longer colonies. But yes their colonial past still affects them today.

Interesting, now it makes sense why the continent hasn’t pushed up. Especially with intentional underdevelopment.
