I've lost count of how many times someone has told me that June 1st is when they flip the switch on rolling all Express freight to Ground and getting rid of virtually all Express couriers. I told them that no, that's when the integration of the corporate side of things is slated to launch. They tell me that I'm wrong and that's when everyone loses their jobs. I tell them that they've been getting rid of duplicate positions in the opcos and transitioning the remaining positions into place so that they can perform their duties in the integrated FedEx. They ask me how I know and I tell them--- because I'm involved in it, my some of my duties have changed, my home location has changed, and so on. Then I ask them how they know it's going to be The End Day.

They saw it on Facebook or Reddit. I do what I can to reassure them that that's not the case, they tell me that I'm lying, and I just laugh and let it go. If they're intent on losing sleep with worry, I won't stop them.
We can’t help it that they keep screwing up! I can’t wait till next week to see what district we’re a part of. 😂😂

Screwing up they are, my first station I ever worked at was closed during the first round, most express employees were let go(I think they kept one CSA and one CRR(a swing). The "one" facility is suffering from consistent "late freight", contractors are use to leaving at 7-8am(express packages rarely arrived in town before 9am), express Priority package commits for this area have been changed from 1030 to 1200, they are still sending 2-3 trucks to the same areas every day, because the contractors cannot wait til 10 to get on road, and actually have time to finish.

I love it. It's exactly what we all said was going to happen. Contractor employed drivers are paid by the day and they're not going to wait at the terminal foe 2+ hours until that so called "express" freight finally arrives.
In the end contractors will have to send a second truck out 2-3 hours later to run over the very same area the ground truck ran over earlier in the day.
And rest assured Fat Freddy is going to want to have to pay the contractor for that second route/truck/driver.

And here is where the battle lines will be drawn.

All depends- I am on Medicare and have a Medicare Supplement Plan G. Which is very easy to pay each month as I do not have to pay a state income tax in Florida. My supplement pays every single skilled nursing charges that Medicare does not cover.
Medicare? Is it not socialism? Or is it "selective socialism" depending on the individual and whether or not they are enjoying the benefits and protections of a program that is undeniably socialistic in it's design.
