Have we had a strike authorization vote since 2003?

I really doubt the authorization means anything to UPS especially with Taylor running negotiations. A lot of tough strike talk on here, I’m just curious what everyone will do for insurance? Don’t tell me you’ll use Cobra either.
Teamcare will cover you in the event that we go on strike. Thats one of the perks of Teamcare.

Always vote in support of a strike authorization, even if you don't want the strike.

If the union goes into the late-July negotiations without the strike authorization, all the power goes to the company.

What is the process of a strike authorization?
How long after it is sent out will be know if we are going on strike or not?
It was just a vote by ballot. They'll probably have a big meeting in some sort a town hall meeting setting (Maybe not in your case).
It gives Hoffa the authorization to call a strike. In essence, it put Hoffa on the same level has UPS's management. A bunch of authority, bottom line.
