Here’s what I’m thankful for today

Simple search. Most law firms offer a 401K, not a defined pension.

The average person does not make $135K. If a lawyer wants to retire with a decent retirement fun, they better put that much in.

According to the stats, from the Government, by the way, I am right on close to half.

I said that they make a whole lot more than I thought, after doing the research. The same research I did on lawyers.

Yes it is.

Drs, yes, lawyers, no.
What you make with overtime is not your salary. Go try and get a loan based on your overtime. You won’t get it. It’s based on what you make in a 40hr week. Overtime can be taken away anytime the company feels like it, however unlikely that may be. Based on what you showed me, how are you right that half the lawyers make less then we do?

Because most lawyers have to pay for their retirement and healthcare. We don't.

If you want to bring all variables into play by saying that you base it on a 40 hour work week, them bring all the variables into play.

Retirement, healthcare, clothing (yes, most lawyers have many suits that also need dry cleaning), cost to get that education, etc, etc.

What do we drivers start at when first hired? 68k for lawyers are probably the lawyers who are just starting out. I take back what I said earlier 100% of lawyers make more than we do. Just google the average salary in the US.

Doesn’t matter dude. They still make more money. Over the course of their career they will end up with more. Period. Because they make more. Period.

Now you're actually starting to think and do research, instead of just blurting out opinions. That is a very good point. We have a 4 year progression. That comes into play when comparing jobs, salaries, cost to get that job, loan payoffs, etc.

They also went to college and secondary education over and above that.

$100K to deliver cardboard that doesn't even require a high school education......priceless.

The only research I did was a lawyers median wage in the US. All this stuff I take into consideration before I “blurt” out my opinion thank you, lol. That’s why I said what I said.

Fine you deliver your cardboard forever and make what you make. The lawyer and dr. can make what they make and pay their hundreds of thousands in college loan debt, and they’ll still end up with more. Much more. We do great for not going to college. But we work ourselves into the grave, and a dr. and lawyer will always end up with more because they make more.

My sister went to school forever. Ph.D, professor, making comparable money as me. But she has student loans to pay. My house is paid off, she has a mortgage. I've got 3 newer cars, she's 1. Sure her schedule is more free than mine with time off. But I'm enjoying this life now with nothing owed than time served, at max 9.5 hrs making over $450 daily to deliver peoples Amazon orders. No years wasted at school, no debt from it, no taking my work home with me, reports, emails, conference calls, etc. Drop stuff off, make bank, live an above average life. Sweet AF.

Comparable? More or less? Is she responsible with money? There are a slew of variables there to contend with. And she makes comparable money while having more time off. Means a lot. To me anyway. To each their own though. Yes we do great for not being educated. I just get tired of guys making it sound better than it really is, comparing us to drs and lawyers. It’s not close.

What is your advice on personal investing? Just curious about the process you’re using.

OK. While a doctor is in school and residency, I'll have made over a million dollars.

Aside from “how long is medical school,” this is one of the most common questions aspiring med students ask. In the United States, it takes an average of 10 to 14 years to become a doctor or surgeon. This includes a four-year undergrad degree, four years of medical school, and three to seven years of residency.

While a lawyer is in school, I'll make $750K.

Through participating in a joint bachelor's/law degree program approved by the Court that takes at least seven years to complete and results in the awarding of a bachelor's degree and a law degree.

And then they will come out with massive debt to pay off. It will take them a lifetime to catch up to my million dollars.

I don't know her exact amount, that would be rude lol. We are both over 6 figures. She paid a lil more for the same size house and type though outside the city versus inside. She travels. I like cars, collectibles, chilling. Different paths, same ending.

It just proves that if one is motivated to improve themselves or their lives, that it is possible through many different paths. I enjoy my life as an delivery driver. The smiles I bring, the adventures I have. I'd die being stuck inside behind a computer or in an office. UPS fits my personality, figured that out long time ago. No regrets.
