Well thank the TDU for that. The previous raises were negotiated by the Old Guard. "Change" comes in many forms. Who knew it meant in raises?
Does it say on there that the old guard cut a deal that new hires would be hired under the 2011 hiring rates in 2013 & 2014? Imagine the questions when those new members looked at the contract book.
Besides the numbers being wrong, does it say that the 2009 raises were negotiated away, lowered and pushed to 2010?
Does it say the employer intended the last raise to be a two year raise?
Does it mention the ratification bonus in the new deal?
Does it say there were secret deals giving temporary workers the right to take jobs over seniority workers? Temps could take overtime away from seniority workers?
Does it mention any of the language improvements in the new contract?
It's definitely not the complete picture. The contract the employer wanted, and the authors of that leaflet cheered for, had real concessions.
The ratified deal: not concessionary.

I must say those raises blow!
That's not what their PDF says on the 2015 contract. It said raises every year plus it was voted in at a margin of 562 yes to 17 no.
Why was it voted in by 97%?
Were there other good or new language changes?
It says there were.
Don't believe everything that's posted here. Look it up yourself.

You can't get clean water from a dirty source.

Hmmmm. No wonder Elvis thinks the math is wrong. I thought there were 2800 employees at that hospital? So yes, 97% of the 20% that voted, voted yes for the contract.

Elvis251: Imagine the questions they will have when they see the NEW GUARD never attempted to change it, So I guess the NEW GUARD thought this was a good deal because the 2012 rate is still the starting rate for New Hires in the New Contract.

Yes there was outsourcing going on as well as alot of money being spent...
So they spent a bunch of money (I assume on a TDU negotiator) only to get raises that don't keep up with inflation? It looks like $0.45 a year. Was the contract ratified before or after the last one ended?
