when a new regime comes in everyone that what status, or some kind of power will jump on board DONT BE BLINDED Elvis251...
I'm not sure what you said but I gather you think everyone is interested in union positions for status and power? Sounds like the thinking of the old regime.

The pace and activity of the new regime pushes the disingenuous out. The people that stick around are interested in helping members.

Starting wage is a waste of time.

How's the finances been in your local this year?
Seems as though your very "involved" in the day to day.

The LM2 was amazing, with big cuts in bloated salaries from the previous admin. Debt was eliminated.
The newsletter that just came in the mail gave some more insight on the strong financial reforms of 251. This last monthly financial report at the meeting was in the black, even with investments in building and office equipment. Last month was in the red an amount similar to downpayments on charity fund events.
If I recall the Local was in the red in typically low revenue months December and January. Spending on the Hospital contract campaign was substantial. Paying for members to be at the bargaining table and for an extra union rep during the campaign isn't cheap.
Addressing the needs of 2500 members is no small task and I appreciate the support of the Local with resources.
I've also noticed that arbitration expenses have been at least a couple thousand a month or more. While expensive, it means the Local is pushing issues and representing members.
I'm interested in seeing how finances are with the Hospital contract done.

Local 25? Feeders? Sounds like you've been around long enough to be familiar with the questionable history of Local 25.

McCarthy? Cashman? Sean?

BTW...is George out of jail yet?

Funny you mention these guys.
McCarthy, needed to go.

Sean, most beloved president. Just look at his totals and successes.

Cashman, a TDU Carey supporter. Yup, you heard correct. Cashman was a "grassroots" guy. You need a little history lesson.

"By bloated salaries you mean going from 92-97k from the old to 127k now?"

"Yes, the totally unbiased local newsletter put out by the unbiased TDU was amazing. I love how there is always an excuse supplemented with the many negative months."

"So now just add February, March and April to the list."

"So how much did it cost for Ostrach to negotiate for you? Why pay for a BA?"

"How many arbitration cases has 251 brought to the table?"

You mean Sean, the guy that threatens rank and file Teamsters?

That Sean?

That Sean?

Aside from him "mouthing off" to some Teamsters (that had their feelings hurt)

I don't recall.... any "legal" repercussions from the issue.

He was sanctioned, and served his time. (so to speak)

I'd agree that McCarthy had to go. In fact...he stayed a bit too long at the dance.

Sean? Just a cheap little thug with an unsavory family history in a local union that revels in an unsavory history.

Cashman? You can't be serious. Cashman was anything but "grassroots". George despised TDU and he was a "Carey supporter" only when it was in his own best interest. George was out for George...simple as that. Anyone who challenged George would soon be dealing with Louie "Louie the Pig" Di..........

You may want to sign up for a little history lesson yourself. You're in Local 25 and you just can't put lipstick on a pig, wide load.

I get it. Cashman was TDU until he got busted. Then he became old guard. Major flaw in the system of accusation.

Hey, I didn't video tape him making those threats.
And it sure wasn't me that posted that video on browncafe.
And I wasn't the one who suspended him either.
But to make light of the situation, that's just not factual.

No wide load, you just don't get it. Cashman was never TDU, as convenient as it may be for you to attach that label to him. He despised TDU. The only officer of Local 25 back then who had a tie to TDU was Dennis N. The sole agenda that George had was the unabashed promotion of George. That agenda worked for McCarthy and it seems to be working for Sean, but George found that it's difficult to make a comeback from behind bars.

No "flaw in the system of accusation", wide load. You're the one who asserted that George was a "TDU Carey supporter" and a "grassroots guy". Nothing can be further from the truth! McCarthy was slime. Cashman was slime. And Sean is slime.

You are a republican coward. I'm out working you 34,000 to one. Keep beating your drum here on this little platform. You are making me feel good about protecting the 1,300,000 teamster. Remember this I am fiercely loyal. I'm loyal to hall And Sean O. Sean O comes from a background similar to I. He is a good ass union man. I am not half the union man he is nor that of hall but they have my loyalty. And you can be sure I'm a worker and I'll out work you. Sean o is no bully. He sacrifices his life plus his time for all members and he is a good ass man. Loyalty.

You only half right, Cashman missed the TDU convention where TDU opposed the "so called reconciliation slate". And that's when he was no longer supported by TDU and he to them.
Cashman, Carey, Leedham, Pope, Sylvester....all TDU. They should have focused on being Teamsters.
